Some updates on the Shincha front and the transition to the 2019 harvest teas.
If you visit our online shop https://shop.ikkyu-tea.com/en/shincha.php, you will see that several of our teas are currently out of stock or waiting to be activated as 'shincha' - new tea from the first harvest of the year.
End of April - beginning of May is always a period of transition. We work with small-sized producers who focus on quality and not quantity. At this time of the year, their stock for the previous year is often finished. As we are located in Kyushu, right next to them, IKKYU follows a strict policy to order only small quantities to guarantee the maximum freshness and longest shelf-life to our customers.
For those green teas marked as being unavailable for now, have no fear! We will receive them by the end of May.
