Heartfelt congratulations to Nagayama san!
On August 31, 2017, Nagayama Kazuhiro san, one of IKKYU partners in Chiran (Kagoshima), was awarded the Governor Prize of Kagoshima prefecture for his sencha. The evaluation covered various points such as appearance, taste, fragrance and color. Congratulations to him and his team for this new achievement!
By far, it is not the first prize that Nagayama san has received, but it's the first time in 12 years of work that he could achieve this rank. He explains his success by steady and continuous efforts, and resisting the temptation of giving up even in the face of great challenges.
