MEET ALEX , YUKA SAN & mÉLINA

ALEX AHEARN
From a young age, I have been fascinated by Japanese tea and have been lucky to see firsthand how moments are created around the connection between food and tea. This sparked my lifelong personal and professional pursuit of studying tea through academic tea-related research, tea education, and tea evaluation practices.

Through my experience in the food and beverage industry, I hope to better understand how consumers enjoy tea. In my spare time, I bake and cook with tea, develop new recipes, and work on my photography skills. Visit www.flowersandtea.com to see more of my work.
TOMOIKE YUKA
Born in Fukuoka City, I am still living in this great city. Raised on Kyushu Island in a traditional family, green tea has always been part of my life.

There was a time when I was very interested in coffee and tea, but in the end, I realized that green tea was the best for my palate and my daily life.

I eventually became a Japanese tea instructor.  Recently, I have been on different combination of tastes, marriage with food, dessert and sometimes alcohol, too. Tea is such a fun product to work with! It is a part of me, all day long.
mÉLINA DA ROCHA
Green tea has been a life-changing discovery following my first trip to the land of the rising sun. Since then, I am a true lover of Japanese tea, both for its taste and for the cultural aspect it represents.
Following my numerous trips to different Japanese prefectures, I now wish to share my passion for Japanese tea with future tea lovers. You can see more of my work on chanoyu.fr.
